Sell gift cards online

Turning it on

Locate ‘Web store’ under ‘Online & Marketing’ in the sidebar.

Under ‘Modules’, switch on ‘Sell gift cards online’ and press ‘Save’. It is off until you turn it on.

What appears on your website

A ‘Gift cards’ page is added to your website and a ‘Gift cards’ button appears in your site header. Customers can also open it directly at your store address followed by /gift-cards.

Customers choose an amount, enter the recipient’s name and email, add an optional gift message and their own name, and pay by card.

As soon as the payment succeeds the recipient is emailed a digital gift card with its code and a scannable QR. It is redeemable in store like any other gift card.

Amounts

Customers can pick a preset amount or enter their own. Custom amounts must be between $5 and $1,000.

Linking to it from the designer

In the web designer, open the Header or Footer tab, add a link and choose ‘Gift cards’ as its target. The option only appears while ‘Sell gift cards online’ is switched on.

Turning it off

Switch ‘Sell gift cards online’ off and press ‘Save’. The page and the header button are removed from your website. Gift cards already sold stay valid and can still be redeemed in store.
